Daystar Life Groups

Connect with your church family on a deeper level.

Humans are made for relationship: relationship with God and with others. But often, Sunday mornings aren’t enough to foster the deep friendships that each of us need. If you want to develop deeper and more meaningful connections with like-minded Christ followers – there is a Life Group waiting for you! Life Groups offer the chance to connect, pray, and grow together with other believers in a small-group setting.

There are many different Life Groups available. They meet on different days of the week and at different times of day. Most meet weekly but some are every second week. Some have childcare – others are adults only. There are Life Groups in Leduc, Beaumont, Calmar, Millet and Wetaskiwin. Find one that is a good fit for you.

What to expect at Life Group

Every Life Group is as different as the people that are a part of it. It’s best to get specific details from the leader that runs the Life Group you will be a part of. But here are a few things that are important in every group:

Connection. We love to hang out and get to know each other. Be prepared to make new friends!

Prayer. We believe that God answers prayer. Countless times we have seen miracles because of the prayer in Life Groups. Every group incorporates a time of prayer into their meeting.

Discussion. Each group usually has some form of discussion on a spiritual topic. Often it is a discussion based on the Sunday message. Other times we will watch a video or listen to an audio recording and then discuss it briefly. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a scholar to engage in the discussion – you just have to be a real person!

Food. Mmmmmm. There’s always a wonderful snack at Life Group. Some groups go all out and do a BBQ or a potluck.
