Daystar's First Weekend Women's Retreat

Connect with other women, experience refreshing times of worship, a variety of breakout sessions, and hear guest speaker Pastor Karen Wells at the brand new Covenant Bay Lodge at Pigeon Lake. Expect to encounter God in an intimate way, as we allow the Holy Spirit to lift the veils that keep us from seeing Him clearly.

Friday to Sunday Retreat (Optional Saturday only attendance)

What can I expect?

A fun-filled weekend of fellowship, worship, and growth! Keynote teaching will be led by Karen Wells, as well as breakout sessions from a variety of Daystar’s leaders. Choose from breakouts including spiritual teaching, panel discussions, arts & crafts, active skills or beauty & aesthetics.  Expect to encounter God in an intimate way, as we allow the Holy Spirit to lift the veils that keep us from seeing Him clearly and changing us to be more like Him.

What are the accommodations like?

Accommodations are in the beautiful, new, main lodge and include 6 dorm rooms (4 bunk bed + 1 queen) and 2 smaller accessible rooms (1 bunk bed + 1 queen) with shared bathrooms. Dorm room capacity can be increased up to 9 if participants are willing to use top bunks. Accommodations are in the main lodge, however, the dining hall and most sessions require a short walk outside.

Who can attend?

The retreat is for ALL women ages 18-100! Feel free to invite a friend. Mothers needing to bring young infants (under 6 mos old) are welcome to attend on Saturday. We cannot accommodate mobile infants & children.

Can I choose my own roommates?

Yes! Room selection can be made at the Daystar Welcome Desk in the foyer starting March 8. If you have no preference, you will be assigned a room.

How do I get there?

Covenant Bay is about 1 hour drive from Leduc. You can choose to drive yourself or take the bus from Daystar Church.  Directions: https://goo.gl/maps/YQXKNRyKGcQM3MHe9

Do I need to bring my own food?

All meals and snacks are provided. We will try to accommodate food allergies as far as possible, however, this is not a nut free facility. Gluten friendly meal options available.

What do I need to pack?

  • Warm layered clothing
  • Weather appropriate outdoor clothes & Rubber boots
  • Slippers or indoor shoes for the lodge (optional)
  • Bible & Notebook
  • Water bottle

Overnight Guests:

  • Bedding & Pillow (double beds have fitted sheet)

Can I bunk with Sanet?

Sanet snores. You really don’t want to be there when that freight train rolls through. Earplugs won’t even help.

Bussing:
