Cal and Lynda enjoy country living. They keep busy with their four adult children, their spouses and, of course, their grandchildren! They are involved in several ministries in Daystar and have a passion for serving the Lord. Their life group will be hosted in Melanie‘s home. Melanie has been attending Daystar since 1998, making her a Daystar ‘lifer’. This friendly introvert welcomes you to her home.

Tim will be leading a special prayer-focused Life Group for Men. It will be a morning of praying for each other, our families, our community, and our church.  Come prepared to spend time with the Lord, be vulnerable, and support your brothers. Tim is married to Iris and they have 2 girls (11 and 9).  They love coffee, people, and God, and even more-so: sharing God and coffee with people.

Daniel and Anne are a young family that have made Daystar their home. Daniel works full time and Anne is a stay at home mom for their two kids, Clover and Valor. They are looking to open their home and connect with other young families in the church. They desire to foster friendships and talk about life & God whilst the chaos of the children happens one room over!

Originally from PEI, Seth and Angela Paine met at 14 years of age. Together for 35 years, married for 29 years! Work brought them from PEI to Vancouver Island in 2000. The Lord then brought them to Leduc and Daystar 10 years ago. They have 2 adult children & enjoy hiking, campfires and eating out (no dishes…. woohoo)!

Scott and Stephanie Heggerud just celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this summer and have 3 growing kids. Scott is a teacher, Stephanie is a nurse and in their spare time they’re busy building a house.

This Life Group is a little different - we'll be covering the "Basics", all about what Daystar believes - and it's a perfect primer on the fundamentals of the Christians faith.  It's suitable for anyone new to Daystar! And we'll have some great snacks and hang-out time because, if someone didn't let you know already, Pastor Nialle likes food. We'll meet at the church cafe!

As the youth pastor, Liam is fortified with many crazy, gross and unsanctioned stories. Maddy is all full of sweetness and love and absolutely adores any little child who walks in front of her!  They're excited to co-host this life group with their close friends, Kurt and Hanna!

Kurt and Hanna are purely wonderful people!  Kurt has been attending Daystar longer than most people at this church, and happily serves wherever needed. Hanna has one of the most bubbly personalities you'll meet and is always excited to meet new people! This life group is for young adults 20-35.

Jason and Becky have been a part of the Daystar family for two decades and have been married for 18 years with two spunky daughters aged 11 and 14.  Come explore how faith in Christ goes beyond a Sunday morning and is lived out in our daily lives and in fellowship with one another.  Our home is a place where authentic connection, sincere questions, vital encouragement and delicious snacks all abound.

They enjoy the company of good friends and good food.  Helgardt leads Men’s Ministry and Sanet leads Women’s Ministry at Daystar Church.  They are ready to open their home to adults wishing to fellowship together and rally around the things of the LORD.

Steve and Sharla love their Daystar family. Their three young kids provide hours of entertainment… and mishaps. Steve works as a registered nurse, while Sharla is our Children’s Pastor. They both love beating each other in board games and having friends over. Sharla loves to organize and Steve loves to disorganize. It’s a perfect match!
